Dr. Jure Poglajen

Graduated at the Ljubljana Medical Faculty in 2004, general dentist Dr. Poglajen runs the family dental clinic in Brezice, Slovenia. His favourite fields are laser dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery. Dr. Poglajen organizes workshops, hands-on courses in endodontics, glass fibre composites and other innovative instruments and is a frequent speaker at domestic and international events.

A vegan, an animalist and a philanthropist, Dr. Poglajen ended up giving dental care to refugees in need in occasion of a holiday to Lesbos and has since then become a well-known humanitarian personality attending debates in favour of the rights of war refugees. He was named personality of the year 2015 by Slovenia’s largest newspaper, founded the humanitarian organisation Citizens of the World and organises Slovenian Dental Missions to Moria refugee camp on Lesbos.
