Calasept has a high concentration of calcium hydroxide of over 37%, giving a high amount of available hydroxyol ions. These generate the high pH of over 12 which has a pronounced antimicrobial effect.
Calasept is a ready to use paste in an airtight syringe for direct application and indirect application. The airtight syringe reduces the risk of incorporation air into calcium hydoxide turning the material into inactive calcium carbonate. It is recommended to use Calasept Paste Needle.
